Something Old, Something New

This weekend my parents came to town!
Now being a college student it is a very special thing when mom & dad make the long (or short) haul to your stomping grounds. You always want to take them to that new restaurant (because uhh it's good but I don't want to pay), you've made your grocery list a good 7 days in advanced ( I seriously switched to the mini travel toothpaste until my parents came),you've beeen trying to clean your apartment for a good 3 days to no success, and you've run your car to the bare minimum so your parents will have to fill it up. But secretly all of us college kids just missed our moms & dads so much we wouldn't mind just hanging in the hotel & getting hugged on a little bit.
Near College Station is a little town called Round Top where this HUGE antique show is. I'm not quite sure why I chose this over the outlet malls, but I sure got to take in a lot. It's amazing what people will buy for old things, small barbie toys, giant dragons, bear heads, old school coke machines, hand made trinkets, and home made food. Basically I think people buy just about anything with enough beer & friends around them and that's pretty much what we did!

Meet Aflac[not for sale]... my mom got on me for taking some pictures of him because "I'd scare him" and the woman came out and said "That's hookaay he rides on the back of a Harley Davidson that won't scare him one bit"
You thought I was kidding about the giant dragon didn't you...

Just some treasures these 2 strangers found (hint: if you are wanting to come to the antique show DON'T bring a rolly basket)

I just really loved this tents name, but then I really didn't want to buy anything because it creeped me out!
Also Texas Bluebonnets have bloomed early!! Look at these home owners beautiful front lawn!
All in all it was a weekend well spent, gotta love my parents & adventures.
Up next: Chillifest, Snook, TX no chilli needed!

Spring Break

There are so many things I could tell you about Spring Break but mine was pretty stereotypical... stereotype away.
Destination: Gulf Shores & New Orleans
With: Delt & Zeta (too many people to list)
When: SpRiNg BrEaK DuH
Why: to get rowdy

I apologize about not being able to write some good humor out, but who can really get deep over some scantily clad Spring Break Photos?

Don't get me started ok?
I know it's been a year and a day since I've graced you with my presence but what's a college girl to do? Lately I've been feeling overwhelmed and uninspired, but I'm hoping maybe stabbing at some keys for a while will give me some inspiration.
Let's see I left you at snow, well since then we had Valentines Day
Now, I'm not really a fan of a day dedicated to red & overpriced candy & flowers, but I was a little bummed that I couldn't be with Nick due to my lovely professor scheduling a test on Valentines day.
But Nick & I celebrity a couple days after and made the yummiest steak ever! There was also a Delt Valentines day party which the whole crew went to...
super sexy bow tie my date was wearing? Curtsey of his one & only for V day.
Then this one roomate named Courtney Cola got a little swerve happy and demolished her car! After getting hit drivers side by a truck, flipping, hitting a light pole, and almost killing a rollerblader while rolling, she was as cool as a cat & perfectly A O.K (i think she's magic)
Also, Extera owners? You have one hell of a safe car!

A couple weekends later I ventured to the town of Abilene, TX. (only because Courtney lives there)
Although it wasn't the cutest place Courtney's family is the greatest & I got a great pedicure & meal out of it!!
Ever heard of Perinis? look it up!
Then Courtney & Will came home with meee! A weekend filled of seafood, water, aquarium visits, and...salena? (and some really boring dress fittings, sorry guys!)

That was about all of my February Adventures!!
Next up? Spring Break! (well I've already went but I'll talk about it next time)
I hope this holds you over blog nation
sorry for the delay!
