My Mini Snow Day

"It was the night before Christmas and all through the house..."
Ok obviously it's no where close to the next Christmas but really isn't the only thing that pops into your head while reading that is waking up to beautiful covered white ground perfect and untouched?
Wellp it finally happened blog nation, College Station finally got some darn snow! (and we deserved it because seriously I think everywhere in America has now had a frost or two) It was a frigid painful week for all of us up in aggieland. While all of our friends in TCU, OU, Baylor, and so forth bragged about their 3 consecutive snow days (basicly their snow week) we braved the 7 degree wind chills to class all week long!
...Until, Friday!
Not only did I wake up to a "school is canceled" text I also woke up to SNOW!
update: we recently took down the Christmas lights
Anyways we went adventuring around our house to check things out and play and here's what we found!

 the creek was frozen!
nick got nailed with a snowball or two which he deserved because this guy makes some mean snowballs that hurt
DUH we had a snow kiss picture

And even Jackie came out and braved the cold (which is a SUPER HUGE deal)

Nick made this mister snow man...and then smashed it

and then we tried out hand at sledding at the top of our parking garage! First we started with the top of storage bins, and, well, it didn't work too well but then with a little help from friends we broadened our horizons and opened up our sledding object imaginations...

and started using some pool floaties! Mine as well jet ski in the snow.

blow up turtle too, not as effective.

The next thing I knew the sun was out and our perfect powder melted away until there was only splotches of snow to remind us that yes, we really had some snow that just earlier that day.
All in all I'm sure the chilly temps are pissing off the Texas snow birds but it's sure making us college kids happy!

Hasta La Vista January

I've already been back in College station for 2 &1/2 weeks and time has flown! We have all done so much in so little time, but everything is perfect and just how life should be. So here's to catching you blog peeps up on life.
We came back with a bang by purchasing "Just Dance 2" for the wii. Talk about most fun and exhausting game ever! So the first night instead of going out we did this until 1am.
(please note door open because we were sweating so much & rocking the Christmas lights because it's only mid-Janurary)
My roomie Tara & boyfriend Dustin (aka Dust) got extremely cutsie for a concert & well... she made an uh oh but it's ok because it's no big deal & we all know it's just a minor set back :)
My roomie Courtney (with 80% help from chef Abe) made us all one of the yummiest dinners of all time  chicken fried chicken, homemade mac 'n cheese, & buttermilk pie YUMM
Tara decided that she wasn't busy enough & took on THREE (as in 1,2,3) jobs. I miss seeing her as much, but I give her mad props for the multitasking.
Kristin moved in with us, well no, but she basically should because we make her come over 24/7 to do things like play wii, or watch glee, or eat our food etc.
Katie became our new driver!! Not this night, but every Monday Wednesday & Friday I get to see her shining face driving us to West Campus.
Courtney and I decided we want to go to Italy this summer. *fingers crossed*
Katie also had a lot of pretty awesome nights & I learned a lot about her.
I decided I'm going to go blonde, not really, but I love these girls!
Nick and I have two classes together which makes me extreme happy
I went to Casino night with all these cool cats.
And meet nick's new froomie Ryan Osborn
We woke up at 5am for Delt Bid Day! Yay for being able to function so early and all coming home in one piece!

Congrats to my best fran Will Frazier for not wandering off and getting in trouble.

All in all we've been keeping it real and having a great time up in College Station hope all yall are too!

Spring Semester

My goal this semester is to get as close to a 4.0 as humanly possible. But as I sit here in my PJs still (it's 1pm i woke up 30 minutes ago) making cinnamon rolls & all of my new books are STILL in the box & wrapping they came in, I realize I'm failing majorly and so far away from what I'm striving for. It's so hard to start up the impossible. So if anyone can come force me to be productive, please do.
I hope all you crazies are having a good semester, maybe even opened your books up?
Let's hope so.

Mexico

AGH I'm so behind blognation, seriously I'm so sorry. I've been to Mexico a lot these past couple of years so I've just decided to put up a lot of pictures with no words. It's easier, it's quicker, and it gets my point across.
(the first pictures are from this trip)

...and now for some oldies but goodies. To me, this is mexico summed up in a nut shell.

I hope yall enjoy my piece of paradise
